Terms of service

Last updated 17 Oct 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and theHoracle Studio, which makes theHinvoicer (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using thehinvoicer.app you agree to them. If you use theHinvoicer for a business, you agree on its behalf. theHinvoicer is a tool for business use; if the law where you live treats you as a consumer, you keep every right that law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes it away.

1. The service

theHinvoicer lets you create invoices, send them to your clients by email or link, see when they're opened, remind clients to pay, and bill clients on a schedule. Your clients pay you directly, using the payment details you give them: we don't receive, hold or move money between you and your clients.

2. Your account

  • Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
  • Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
  • You must be at least 16, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.
  • You can't use theHinvoicer if you're in a country, or on a list, where trade sanctions (for example from the UN, the US, the UK or the EU) don't allow us or our payment providers to serve you.

3. Acceptable use

Because we send emails on your behalf, please use theHinvoicer only for genuine invoices to people you actually do business with. You must not:

  • send fake, misleading or fraudulent invoices, or impersonate anyone;
  • use theHinvoicer to send spam or messages people didn't expect from you;
  • add people's details without a proper reason, or break data protection or other laws;
  • try to break, overload or get around the limits and security of the service.

We may pause sending, or suspend an account, to stop abuse or protect our email reputation for everyone.

4. Your content

Your invoices, clients, logo and other content are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you, for example to make PDFs, send your emails and show you activity. You can download a full backup at any time from Settings. See our privacy policy for how we handle personal data.

5. Plans and billing

Free includes up to 5 clients and 100 invoices. Pro costs ₦7,500.00 a month (paid in naira through Paystack) or $9.00 a month (paid in US dollars through Bachs), and adds unlimited clients and invoices, scheduled sending, automatic reminders and recurring invoices.

  • Pro is billed in naira for Nigerian businesses and in US dollars everywhere else. Your bank may charge for converting currency.
  • Prices don't include taxes unless we say so. Where the law requires us to charge VAT, GST or sales tax, we'll add it and show it before you pay.
  • Pro renews every month on the same card until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from Settings. Pro stays on until the end of the month you've paid for, then your workspace moves to Free.
  • We don't refund part-months, except where the law requires it (for example, consumer cooling-off rights where they apply).
  • If a renewal payment fails, your card is retried for a short time before Pro ends.
  • We'll tell you at least 30 days before any price change affects you.

Moving to Free never deletes your data. If you have more clients or invoices than Free allows, you can still see them, but can't add more until you're within the limits or upgrade.

6. Our responsibilities and limits

We work hard to keep theHinvoicer available, accurate and secure, but we provide it “as is”. We can't promise it will never be interrupted or that every email will arrive. theHinvoicer isn't accounting, tax or legal advice: you're responsible for what your invoices say, including tax.

As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses (such as lost profits or late payments from your clients), and our total liability to you is limited to what you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

If you're responsible for data about your clients, you're responsible for having a lawful basis to use it and email them; see our privacy policy for how we process it on your behalf.

7. Ending the agreement

You can stop using theHinvoicer at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@thehinvoicer.app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you where we reasonably can. If we ever shut theHinvoicer down, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice to download your data.

8. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect; if you don't agree, you can cancel before then. Continuing to use theHinvoicer after that means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes go to the Nigerian courts. If you're a consumer, you can also rely on the mandatory laws of the country where you live and bring a claim in its courts. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we translate these terms, the English version is the one that counts.
